Born and Raised On Lake Anna
Andy Dellett was born and raised on Lake Anna, spending his summers water skiing and enjoying everything the lake has to offer. From the time he could ride a bike, he would pedal three miles from his home to his grandparents’ lake house — the home base for his grandfather’s land development and home-building work.
Those early days gave Andy his first hands-on experience. He helped push dirt with a tractor, carry roof shingles up ladders, and work wherever an extra set of hands was needed. A few years later, once he was driving, he was doing more serious work — plumbing, electrical, building decks, constructing boat houses, and helping with larger property projects.
Built on Real-World Work, Not Guesswork.
After high school, Andy moved to Nashville to pursue his first passion: cars. He later moved to Houston, Texas, where he spent seventeen years building a career. In the early years, he worked as a mechanic, bought his first home at 23, and got married. He later ran truck shops for two large trucking companies. But over time, the hands-on work he loved was replaced by conference calls, spreadsheets, and traffic. Lake Anna started calling him back. The last two years in Houston, Andy worked full-time restoring cars in his garage on the weekends. In 2017, Andy and his wife left Houston, sold their house, and moved back to Lake Anna.
Now Lake Anna Eagle Eye is a top priority for him, along with restoring cars in his home shop and enjoying all the Lake Anna has to offer.
His background has prepared him well for this kind of work. Andy has a strong eye for detail, and while he is not a contractor, he knows the difference between a job done well and one that needs attention. He enjoys taking on handyman repairs, staying involved in hands-on work, and supporting larger-scale projects as a reliable liaison between homeowners and service providers.
